Denise’s Story

Denise was abandoned by her parents at one month old. Her condition became worse when her aunt fell ill and subsequently died from the Ebola Virus Disease. No one knew the location of the mother and the father of the child, so the grandmother was the only person to take Denise, despite her own problems. “My daughter that was doing everything for us has died, so only God we depend on now,” lamented little Denise’s grandmother who took her in. The grandmother is not working as she was depending on her late daughter for food and all other needs. Due to this situation, the condition of the child became worse. She does not get enough to eat, doesn’t have proper care, and she often falls ill. Her body was burning with fever during her intake assessment. Denise was recently identified by our staff and considered to receive assistance from the MOWCF orphanage.

By supporting this ministry you are helping to take care of both the physical as well as spiritual needs of children like Blessing. Unlike many non profits MOWCF does not have paid staff. All donations go directly to the welfare and betterment of Liberian children and widows.

Children in Liberia live off of less then $2 a day. By contributing to this goal you are ensuring that Blessing gets the substance she need to sustain her health.

Donations can be set up as monthly reoccurring donation or as one time donations. http://www.gofundme.com/5q95uo
