A Fieldtrip for our Kids at MOWCF
MOWCF is continuing to rebuild the lives of orphans and widows in Liberia. Since the children have come into the home, they have gone to school every day! This is such a blessing for children who otherwise would not have had an education. MOWCF wants to provide all we can for these children, however. The staff at MOWCF thought since schools were closed for Independence Day, we’d embark on an excursion to one of the largest farms in Liberia, Wulki’s Farm, located in Careysburg, Montserrado. This gave the children an opportunity to see some things they were learning about in school, as well as discover some new things. We visited the breeding places of various birds, did some site seeing, and had lunch together as one family.
This event brought together not only the orphans in MOWCF’s home, but also other children in the community and single mothers both within and outside of the fellowship. A total of thirty people were able to attend the event. It is a blessing for MOWCF to be able to reach beyond its walls and extend God’s blessings to our community. We are thankful we are able to be a light to those around us.
In addition to getting out and seeing new things, our field trip also afforded the children and widows the opportunity to interact, play, and eat together with friends. It’s always nice to see these children enjoying new discoveries and socializing with friends instead of being overcome with the worries they all have faced. It is our goal at MOWCF to cultivate the intellectual, psychological, and spiritual development of these orphans and widows. Providing opportunities for them to learn, play, and strengthen their relationships with others is something we look forward to providing continually for these kids.
Thank you for all the support you have offered to MOWCF! The orphans and widows are truly flourishing as a result of your generous.
